Early this morning, The Verge published an article stating that Halo 4 would come out on Tuesday, November 6th. Later in the day, it was confirmed through a press release that this was indeed the correct day for the release of Halo 4.
Originally revealed at last year's E3, Halo 4 is one of the biggest exclusives coming this year to the Xbox 360. It is also interesting to point out once again that Halo 4 is not being developed by Bungie, but rather 343 Industries. There is also a new music composer, as Marty O'Donnell will not be returning. With all these new changes to the franchise, it is interesting to see what direction Halo 4 will take.

The Mass Effect Franchise is nothing to scoff at. The universe created by Bioware is immense, crafting in immense amounts of lore and legend, nary rivaled by other games. Already spending 75 hours with the franchise I went in with incredibly high expectations, nothing less could ever be expected from a Mass Effect game, let alone a Bioware game. The game met my expectations head on, providing an experience that was epic and it felt like it too. This third installment proves that the Mass Effect “experiment” was a success.
Even though this is in no way an official report from Microsoft, it does help to put to rest the rumors of a 2012 release for the next-generation Xbox console. Sources close to IGN have told them that the next Xbox will start shipping to retailers in October or November of 2013. It's also supposedly being built with a mighty fine GPU.
The sources claim that the GPU will come from the AMD 6000 series (released in 2011,) which would be roughly "six times as powerful as current gen" consoles. The AMD 6000s are similiar to the Radeon HD 6670. Based on this, we can assume that the next Xbox will support DirectX11, 1080p HD, multi-display output, and 3D.
For next-gen comparisons sake, this rumored AMD 6000 GPU will make the next-gen Xbox roughly 20% more powerful than the Wii U. So now the question is....what will Sony bring to the next-gen table?
Since the beginning of Xbox live, Microsoft points have been used as their online currency. Users could purchase 800 Microsoft points for $10 and then use those points to buy games, skins, DLC, etc. Many criticized the system since it is hard to convert 80 Microsoft points to a dollar, and many people had minuscule amounts of Microsoft points they had nothing to do with.
It was around late June that I visited my local Japanese import store. While I was there, they showed me a limited edition of a new fighting game. A loli fighting game in fact. It was called Phantom Breaker. Since I am a huge fan of the Arcana Heart series, this game was definitely up my alley. But my euphoria soon turned to despair. I noticed that it had the Xbox 360 logo on it.
For those of you who aren’t avid import game players, there is something called “region locking,” which I have found to be the bane of my existence. This means that games, movies, or what have you are made for a certain region of the world and will only work on players made for that part of the world. It is well known that handheld consoles have been region-free until those bastards at Nintendo decided to make the 3DS region locked for even god does not know why. So for those of you who are already complaining about how the PS Vita is going to suck, at least the Vita doesn’t have region coding.
If you ever wanted a hybrid of Nier, Dragonball Z, God of War, you'd have Capcom's newest game Asura's Wrath.
Published by Capcom and developed by CyberConnect2, the makers of the .hack and Naruto series', this game boasts an epic story and a multitude of arms, fighting, and grunts.
At this year's CES, Microsoft has revealed that the Kinect will in fact come to Windows. The device will hit stores February 1st. Major Nelson of Microsoft stated on his Twitter that the sensor in the Kinect for Windows will only work with computers with SDK Software.
There is another camera too, as opposed to the original Kinect released back in November 2010. This explains why the base price has been speculated at $249.99, a whole $100 more than the original.
I believe if this gadget allows full functionality to surf the web among other things it's more than worth it. Who doesn't want to talk to their computer and wave at it...for those that are in to that sort of thing I guess?
Things just got interesting. For what may been the first credible source since rumors started flying, MCV is reporting that they have been informed that both Microsoft and Sony will release information on their predecessors to the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3.
When questioned about the source, Ben Parfitt, the online editor for video game business site MCVuk.com, took to Twitter and said "Obviously we can't reveal our sources. But you have my personal word on this - the source is exemplary, 100% concrete, ultra high level."
Experts are not expecting prices or dates, but we should at least get some sort of announcement as to what might be offered from these consoles.
The competition is going to be heated and this year's E3 already looks to be one of the best conferences in years. Some say this is a plan to steal the Wii U's thunder as Nintendo is planning on revealing more information on it's new controller and system.
Which company's conference are you most looking forward to?

UPDATE: According to Forbes, despite MCV's report, Pachter is unconvinced that Sony or Microsoft will reveal any new system at this years E3. I have a feeling this is going to be an interesting year for both Sony and Microsoft in competition with Nintendo. I honestly think they will at least tease or hint at a new console, but because of console sales, they may not release a new system THIS YEAR. That doesn't mean they won't talk about a new system. I do think, however, that Sony is more likely to reveal a new console than Microsoft because there's not even a name yet for the alleged console.
And yet, IGN is saying there WILL be a reveal...from the same source....I'm honestly extremely confused right now
So what do you think? Will there be a big reveal to keep the console war fresh? Or will Nintendo be the only company revealing more details on their next gen console. I guess we'll just have to wait and see..
People have been wondering for a while, how many disks will The Elder Scrools V: Skyrim fit on? Many sizable games in the recent years have been placed on to multiple discs, including L.A. Noire, Final Fantasy XIII, and Mass Effect 2. I am happy to say that the 360 version of Skyrim will run on just one DVD disc.
Warner Bros. has finally announced that Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection for PSN, PC, and Xbox Live Arcade will be available for download on August 31. For the low price of 800 Microsoft Points, or $9.99, you will get arcade perfect ports of Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat 2, and Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3.
