As all of the rumors and leaks (and common sense) suggested, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is this year's Call of Duty installment. It may not be the game we were all expecting, though, as the trailer (which we have embedded below) suggests.

Although not exactly a confirmation, this is the next closest thing. A fan over at IGN has been able to take a picture of the Target pre-order cards for the unannounced Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.

Late last night, weeks worth of rumors and leaks became reality. God of War: Ascensions (formerly referred to as God of War IV,) was unofficially confirmed to be real thanks to Amazon. The box art and teaser trailer were found on Amazon's servers.

Halo 4 Release Date Confirmed

Early this morning, The Verge published an article stating that Halo 4 would come out on Tuesday, November 6th. Later in the day, it was confirmed through a press release that this was indeed the correct day for the release of Halo 4.

Originally revealed at last year's E3, Halo 4 is one of the biggest exclusives coming this year to the Xbox 360. It is also interesting to point out once again that Halo 4 is not being developed by Bungie, but rather 343 Industries. There is also a new music composer, as Marty O'Donnell will not be returning. With all these new changes to the franchise, it is interesting to see what direction Halo 4 will take.

Stay tuned to GameDwellers.com and we'll keep you posted on all the new developments.

Crysis 3 Due out Spring 2013

Today, EA announced Crysis 3 will officially come out next year, with a trailer released later this week. As if the picture above didn't prove it, this game will redefine the word: Badass.

"Crysis 3 is a thrilling mix of sandbox gameplay, advanced combat, and hi-tech human and alien weaponry that shooter fans will love" said CEO of Crytek Cevat Yerli. "Leveraging the latest cryENGINE technology, we're able to deliver seven unique themes that offer stunning and visually loaded gameplay experiences. We cannot wait until people get their hands on the game."

You can pre-order the game on EA's Origin.com for $59.99. EA is releasing a Hunter Edition which will give players early access to the new signature bow and its attachments and a Hunted Nanosuit module that adds powers and functionality to the already versatile super-suit. Online gamers will get a boost to level five, a unique bow skin, and exclusive dog tags when the game is released. Pretty promising for an already badass game, most likely much anticipated, action-packed game.

A few retailers are already offering early multiplayer unlocks for those who decide to pre-order.

  • Stalker Pack: Base game, all Hunter content and the following early unlocks for multiplayer: The deadly semi-auto Jackal shotgun. This frightening shotgun comes with a unique silencer attachment, custom skin, and two exclusive themed in game dog tags.
  • Overkill Pack: Base game, Hunter content, and early multiplayer access to the Typhoon assault weapon and skin, as well as Overkill themed in-game dog-tags.
  • Predator Pack: Base game, Hunter content and multiplayer access to the Feline submachine gun and exclusive camo. With a fast fire rate and a 60 round mag, the Feline is an extremely effective and deadly weapon at short range.
This game will surely be one of the major talks at E3 and as soon as the trailer is released, we will share it with you. We will keep you posted as more develops.

Skyrim Getting Kinect Support

Did you ever think that Skyrim would need Kinect controls? Me neither! Apparently Bethesda disagrees because they announced today that there will be a title update coming later this month adding Kinect controls to the game.

More than 200 voice commands will be added that will allow a player to perform Dragon Shouts, Follower Commands, Menu Navigation, and more. So, you can look forward to the update if you want people to hear you screaming to a dragon in your living room!

Although Neogaf users are claiming this to be false, earlier today, we were led to believe that Play.com had inadvertently leaked the product listings of four unannounced Vita games. The Monster Hunter Portable 3 listing is the only listing you can still find on their website, but the other three titles in question are Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Nights, Final Fantasy Type-O, and Tales of Innocence.

The original story was sent to Eurogamer, where the product listing image (seen above) was first posted. Despite our best efforts, neither Sony or Play.com have provided a comment on this story. It should be noted that Sony has already announced that they will be unveiling several new PlayStation Vita titles on March 9th, during their PlayStation Vita Game Heaven event.

Whether or not this really is a hoax, like the Neogaf users are inclined to believe, remains to be seen. To add more fuel to the fire, a Grand Theft Auto title has appeared on every platform from Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo (as well as PC, iOS, Android, and MAC OS) except for the GameCube and Wii. Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories are some of the highest selling games on the PSP, so it would make perfect sense for a GTA title to make its way onto the Vita. We'll most likely find out for sure whether or not this is the real deal on Friday.

After the image leaked yesterday of what appeared to be an assassin in an American Revolution setting, Ubisoft has put the rumors to rest and confirmed that the image is the real deal. Not only that, but Ubisoft went a step further and unveiled the official Assassin's Creed 3 box art (in PC, 360, and PS3 flavors.)

This official confirmation also comes after another small leak that happened this morning, when a banner ad was spotted on Game Informer that advertised an Assassin's Creed 3 hub on their website with a similar American Revolution image. The ad was quickly pulled; however, after Ubisoft confirmed that the images were real, Game Informer informed us that Assassin's Creed 3 will be their April cover story.

The full box art can be seen below for your viewing pleasure of a dude totally getting stabbed to death by a freaking assassin.

Review: PlayStation Vita

After years worth of rumors and months of anticipation and hype, the PlayStation Vita has arrived. I've had my hands on the Vita for about a week now, and it hasn't disappointed me yet.

Late last year Ubisoft announced an Assassin's Creed game for 2012, although nobody new what the game would be. In an earnings call today, Ubisoft announced that Assassin's Creed 3 will be coming on October 30th, 2012.

Fortunately, a lot of work has been put into the game. CEO Yves Guillemot said that the game has already been in development for three years, and that "what we have seen is just fabulous."The story is supposed to finish off Desmond's storyline as well.

No systems have been announced, but it can be assumed that the game will be coming to PC, 360, PS3, and Wii U (since it was announced at E3).
