If you’re a Zelda fan, today is your lucky day. During this  morning’s Nintendo Direct, two new Zelda titles were announced for the Wii U. The first being an HD remake of Wind Waker. The second is a brand new Zelda title that is being made to “rethink the conventions of Zelda.”

Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma said that the new Zelda game will take some time to develop, so you probably shouldn’t expect it this year. That’s where the remake of Wind Waker comes in handy, though. Wind Waker HD is confirmed for a release by this fall.

Wind Waker HD will improvements to not only visuals and graphics, but to gameplay as well. The remake will take full advantage of the “off tv” GamePad play. It will also be Miiverse compatible.

If you want to see the HD remake for yourself, you can check out the Direct presentation right here. The Zelda segment starts at about the 29:30 mark.
