A little under six months ago, I stumbled across the Slenderman. Now, my nights have never really been the same. You can stumble across the Slenderman too, via indie developer Parsec Productions and a game simply called Slender.

AgentParsec apparently created the game “to practice Unity, and was only really intending to post it to a few forums I frequent,” the developer said in the description for the game on Youtube.

The game’s still early beta, but many commenters (there are over 20 pages worth) say the game’s scary enough as is. The premise is simple enough: you get a flashlight, and you have to find eight documents. It’s light on story, but that’s ok, because you’ll be constantly looking behind you anyway. It makes you paranoid.

Slenderman’s a personal favorate meme of mine; I live in a forested area and when I get home late from carousing or whatever, I’m always a little nervous. If you can handle the tention, try the game out. You can download the game here for Windows or here for Mac.
