Valve confirmed today that PS3 owners will have the ability to play against PC/Mac users for online play with Portal 2.
Some other features that have been confirmed are the cloud based storage for PS3 save games and the ability to chat across platform in game.
Valve will also be including some “Steam play” for the PS3 crowd. Inside each PS3 version of Portal 2, there will be a Steam key for use with the PC/Mac.
There is no word, however, if the 360 version will be getting the same cross-platformer multiplayer capabilities. If there are more updates I will let you know.
Portal 2 will release in North America on April 18 and in Europe April 22 for PS3, Xbox 360, and PC/Mac.
